Your Parish Priest, Fr Stewart Wardell, has been appointed on a part time basis but works with Mrs Margaret Hoadley (Lay Reader) and others to provide full-time Christian ministry in this community.
The cornerstones of the traditional Christian Parish ministry are:
- Daily Prayer for and on behalf of all.
- At least a weekly celebration of Holy Communion in obedience to our Lord’s command, “Do this in remembrance of me.”
- Provision of Christian Baptism for those who wish their children to become Christians from the very beginning of their lives.
- Preparation of the baptized for confirmation.
- Provision of Marriages or Dedication services for those couples who wish to root their love for one another in the love of Jesus and vow an everlasting union.
- To teach the Christian faith in the Church building and beyond, making the most of whatever opportunities present themselves to declare the love of God in Jesus.
- To visit the sick, bringing prayer into the homes or to the hospital bedside of those who most need the strength which comes from the healing touch of Jesus.
- When the time comes, to provide a Christian funeral service for one who has died, and to continue faithful in prayer for all the departed and those who mourn for them.
